Metz, Charles Howard "Charlie" View/Sign Guest Book Donate Now METZ, CHARLES "CHARLIE" HOWARD, 50, of Louisville, passed away Friday, November 28, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was employed as General Sales Manager at Neil Huffman Automotive Group and also was a long time employee of Williams Food Service. Additionally, he was a member of Valley View Baptist Church and was honorably commissioned as a Colonel by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, John W. and Yukiko "Judy" Metz. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Tylanna (Leverett) Metz, formally of Jeffersonville, IN; son, Jonathan Metz; sister, Keiko James and her husband, Jim; nephews, Glen and Martin James; great-nephew, Micah James; other family members, Randy and Sandy Leverett, Cindy andWayne Jones, Brenda and Charlie Ferguson, Drucilla and Rick Elliott and Skyla and Gilbert Gomez; numerous other nieces and nephews and many close friends. His service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be Sunday 11 a.m.-9 p.m. and Monday after 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society.
