Charles O'Neal

O'Neal, Charles Robert "Charley",78, of Louisville, was called home by God on Wednesday, December 24, 2014. He was born August 21, 1936 and was a graduate of Valley High School Class of '54. He was a Navy veteran. Charley retired from American Synthetic Rubber Corporation. He was a member of Okolona Christian Church. He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and one sister. Charley is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Willie G. "Billie" O'Neal; children, Michael E. O'Neal, Peggy S. Burch, Kathy B. Hamperian; sisters, Joanne Reeves and Mary Salvate; brother, Edward O'Neal; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.A simple, but generous man, he touched the lives and hearts of those who came in contact with him. His service will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be Sunday 2-7 p.m. at the funeral home. The O'Neal family would like to thank Norton Suburban Hospital's nurses and staff for their care and support, especially those who were there at the end. A man with such small feet left a big imprint.
