Scott, Charles Wade View/Sign Guest Book SCOTT, CHARLES WADE, 80, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009, in Murray, KY. He worked out of Sheetmetal Union #110 in Louisville until he moved to Murray in 1972. From 1972 until 1986, he owned and operated the Irvan Cobb Resort until he became ill and was forced into retirement. He was a member of Valley Masonic Lodge #511, where he was past master; a member of Parkwood Baptist Church, a graduate of Valley High School, and an Army veteran of the Korean conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, James T. Scott Sr. and Ollie M. Probst Scott. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Donna Scott of Murray; daughters, Dr. Deborah Scott, of Louisville and Cynthia Kay Vaughn (Jim), of Laurel, MD; son, Rick Scott (Sherry), of DeBary, FL; grandchildren, Tim and Greg Scott, and Jason and Caitlin Vaughn; and his brother, J. T. Scott Jr. (Carolyn), of Louisville. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Elm Grove Baptist Church in Murray, KY, with inurnment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West at a later date. Memorial visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
