WELLS, CHARLES "JACK," 90, of Louisville, died Sunday, March 17, 2013.
Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He served in the United States Army Air Force, during World War II, and was also a 2 time Golden Glove Boxing Champion, an avid outdoorsman and gym member. He also volunteered often at St. Vincent De Paul, St. Lawrence Church, and Rockford Manor Nursing Home. He truly loved being with family and friends.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Flora Wells; brothers, Albert, and Nelson; and sisters, Laverne, Mildred and Dorothy.
He is survived by loving wife, Alma Wells; sons, Charles (Debbie), Tommy (Kokkai), Terry (Beverly), Kevin (Maria), and Ronny (Roxy); daughters, Donna Mc Lemore (James), Brenda Reul ( Rick), Karen Blair (Mike), Debby Devore (Sonny), Pam Layer (Steve) and Kathy Burke (Tim); along with 24 grandkids; and 19 great-grandkids.
Visitations will be Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 2-8 p.m. and Wednesday, March 20, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. at Keenan's Funeral Home, 4724 Dixie Highway at Rockford lane. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 1925 Lewiston Dr., with interment at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
