HARGROVE, CHARLEY E., 83, passed away peacefully, Tuesday August 30, 2011, at his home.
He was born in McDowell County, West Virginia to Jess and Evie (Moss) Hargrove.
Charley was a retired Machinist at Naval Ordnance, a member of Valley View Baptist Church and was a United States Marine Corps veteran.
During his retirement, Charley enjoyed raising cattle, gardening, and attending UK football games...
The family would like to thank Hosparus for thier care and comfort, especially Brenda and Barbara and also thanks to his caregivers, Tonya, Lois, Crystal and Barbara.
Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Margaret (Young) Hargrove and his children, Patricia, Charles, and Jerry Hargrove; sister, Lois Ann Davidson (Leon); and two brothers, Thomas (Colleen) and Lawrence (Doris) Hargrove.
Funeral service will be noon on Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy to Hosparus of Louisville.
