Charlie Remines

Charlie Fred Remines, 85, loving husband and father, passed away on Wednesday September 27, 2017 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. He was born to the late Charlie George and Pollie (Shepherd) Remines in Tazewell, Virginia on June 29, 1932.
He was also preceded in death by 4 siblings, Ruby Newberry, Claude Remines, Mike Remines and Bennie Remines.
Charlie was a landscaper for Clinton Korfhage Landscaping, a member of South Dixie Fire Department, and attended Southeast Christian Church. He was also, a proud U. S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 61 years, Leona (Gibson) Remines along with their children, Fred Remines (Denise), Lisa Duke (Mark), Brent Remines (Pam), Kendall Remines (Renee), and Troy Remines (Michelle). He will be missed by his grandchildren, Anthony, Andrew, Heidi, Erika, Krissy, Adam, Jake, Hayley, Katie, Heather, Joseph, Patrick and 24 great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by sisters, Frances Baker, Phyllis Burner and brother Rocky Remines.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service on Saturday.
