Charlotte Cowles

Cowles, Charlotte (Litsey),90, entered eternal life, Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Norton's Medical Pavilion.She was born June 15, 1924 in Harrodsburg, KY to Walter and Alpha (Carey) Litsey.Her last employment was at Defense Mapping Agency, where she worked for 30 years as a Mapmaker. She was a member of Larchmont Church of God.Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George Cowles, (November 22, 1947); a son, David Cowles (June 29, 19470, 3 days old,a brother, A. L. Litsey (1960) and a sister, Ruby Cecil (2009).Survivors include several cousins; two nieces and two nephews.Funeral services will be held noon Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be held Friday, 11 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her Church.
