Chester Smith

Chester L. "Papa Chester" Smith, 86, husband to Barbara Russell Smith, passed away at Georgetown Manor Nursing Home on Friday October 30, 2015. He was born to Sylvester and Beatrice Smith in Louisville on February 20, 1929.
He is also preceded in death by two sons and six brothers and sisters.
Chester retired from Rohm and Haas and owned a janitorial company.
Besides his wife of 30 years, he is survived by daughter, Charlotte Taylor (James), step-children; Sheree Mercer (David), Armanda Barber, Carter Dean, Othello , Eric, Malcolm Marshall along with 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and siblings George Jones, Sr., Clara Morgan (Thomas), Ella Frances Cooke, Pauline Smith.
The family would like to thank the staff at Georgetown Manor Nursing Home for the loving care given to Chester.
