Hockett, Corwin G.,
85, of Valley Station passed away August 27,2014.
He was born February 18,1929, in Washington D.C. and was married to Geneva (Lewis) Hockett, his loving wife of 65 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry C. and Marie V. Hockett and a sister Marjorie.
He is survived by his wife Geneva and his sons, David Hockett ( wife Cindy) of Valley Station and Michael Hockett (wife Melinda) of Phoenix, Arizona.
He is also survived by his brother Charles Hockett (wife Karen) of Richmond, Virginia, his sister Judy Dalton (husband Jerry) of Louisville; sisters-in-law Marilyn Giles and Naomi Burden of Louisville; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hockett was a design engineer for Reynolds Aluminum and was granted 17 patents during his tenure there. He was an architect in Louisville for many years and designed and built a number of award winning houses in the area. He was an accomplished artist, musician, photographer and master craftsman in woodworking.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Highway with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens (West). Visitation will be Monday at 1 P.M. until 8 P.M. and after 9 A.M. on Tuesday until funeral time.
