PERKINS, DAPHNE ESTELLE THOMPSON, 88, passed away September 10, 2011 at Summerfield Nursing Home.
She was a charter member of Shively Christian Church, retired from Louisville Bedding as a seamstress, and was a veteran of the Australian Women's Army during World War II.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John W. Perkins; parents; brothers, Malcolm and Ronald Thompson; and son-in-law, Randall Blanton.
Survivors include her children, Kaye Blanton, Vikki Silberisen (James), John Shipley Perkins (Sheila), Deborah Veech (Ray), and Rebecca Clinard (Terry); 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Alma Taylor and Valerie Cvitan.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Shively Christian Church, 1822 Kendall Lane with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be Monday, noon-8 p.m. at the funeral home and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the service at Shively Christian Church.
