Huber, David C. View/Sign Guest Book HUBER, DAVID C., 89, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at the VA Medical Center. David was a graduate of Louisville Male high school and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving his country during World War II with the 117th Navy Construction Battalion Seabees. He was a former firefighter with the Shively Fire Department and later ran the Standard Oil Station at Crums Lane and Dixie Hwy. for 30 years. He was a member of Dixie Post 220, Veterans of Foreign Wars and St. Denis Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Mae (Kern) Huber; sons, Michael D. (Allida), David Lee, Thomas Kern (Sue) and Jack E. Huber; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. His funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at St. Denis Catholic Church, 4205 Cane Run Road, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Thursday at J.B.
