MATTINGLY, DAVID KENNETH, 70, of Okolona, returned to his Heavenly Father Tuesday, February 25, 2014. Mr. Mattingly was born October 22, 1943 in Louisville to the late William E. and Mary Miles Mattingly. He worked for Henry Vogt Machine Company for 27 years and St. Joseph Children's Home for 10 years. Mr. Mattingly was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church. Among those who preceded him in death include, his great granddaughter, Matilyn Robinson; parents; and siblings, Albertus, Herman, Frankie, Edgar, Ann and Ursula. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 35 years, Jean Mattingly; children, Rita Klinglesmith (Jeff), Tina Shannon ( Gary), Gina Mattingly, Christie Capito (Bobby), Amy Hibbard (Branden) and Tara Mattingly; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Margaret Kemp, Hazel Haarman, William E. Mattingly, Mae Wise and Mary Hornback (Tom); and a host of other family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Luke Catholic Church, 4211 Jim Hawkins Dr., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
