David was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Delia Vest.
Survivors include his sister Debbie Sandage (Richard), his cousins and faithful pet "Yeller".
Funeral service 10 a.m. Friday, Nunnelley Funeral Home, 4327 Taylor Blvd. with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation: 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Humane Society.
