Deborah Durall

July 4, 1952 — March 2, 2014

DURALL, DEBORAH JO "DEBBIE," entered into the eternal presence and peace of her Lord and Savior on March 2, 2014. She left this earth surrounded by the love of her family at Norton Audubon Hospital after an acute illness. She was born on July 4, 1952 in Louisville and grew up in Fairdale. She selfishly and lovingly resided with her mother to help care for her in Brandenburg the past few years. Debbie graduated from Fairdale High School in 1969 and from the University of Louisville in 1972 with a degree in medical technology. She worked for many years as a medical technologist. Debbie had also been a faithful member of Epworth UMC. She believed her greatest accomplishment and calling was to be a mother to her children and a grandmother to her beautiful grandchildren. Debbie leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Amy Floyd (Michael), Andrew (Sheena) and Alex Durall; and eight grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother, Beulah Brown of Brandenburg, siblings, Dr. Manuel Brown (Debbie) of Louisville, Robert Brown (Annette) of Brandenburg, Elaine Carter (Cecil) of Louisville and Dr. Melinda Jackson (Wayne) of Evansville and many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Tuesday at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Blvd., Lou, KY. A brief service to honor the life of Debbie will follow, officiated by Brother Gary Maguffee. Expressions of sympathy can be made to Epworth UMC Childrens Program, 919 Palatka Rd., Louisville, KY, 40214.
