Delbert Gene Hehemann, Sr.

Delbert Gene Hehemann, Sr., 90, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023.  He was born on February 4, 1933, to the late Charles and Elizabeth (Lell) Hehemann, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Delbert was retired from the Local 227, where he worked as a machine operator.  He was married for 66 wonderful years to Margaret, until she passed in 2019.  He was a great dad, the definition of a good man, a loving husband and grandfather.  Delbert was a Christian man and a Mason.

Preceding him in death was his loving wife of 66 years, Margaret Hehemann; his sister, LaVerne Gowers; his brother, William Hehemann; and his grandson, Jason James.

Left to cherish the memories of Delbert’s life is his children, Delbert Hehemann, Jr., and Jan Turner (Mark).

A funeral service to honor Delbert will be at Noon on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Homes West, 4400 Dixie Highway.  Friends may call on the family on Thursday from 4PM – 8PM and Friday from 11AM until service time at the funeral home.
