He was a native of Schenectady, New York, a U.S. Army veteran and a book dealer/ MacNeil's Books.
Survivors include his wife, Ozle Dee (Wiles) MacNeil; seven children, Terri Phillips, Mike, John, and David MacNeil, Teresa Krokowsky, Scott Massey and Debbie Massey: three grandchildren, Andrew, Katie and Bridget; two great-grandchildren, Brooke and Perry.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday.
