Dexter Keown

Dexter Keown, age 83 of Louisville passed away while surrounded by his family at his residence on February 28, 2023. He was born in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Charlie and Vatries (Willis) Keown. 

Besides his parents Dexter is also preceded in death by his adoring wife, Margie Keown, and siblings; 3 brothers Elmon, James, Hastle, and a sister, Peggy. Here to carry on his memory are his children, Tony Keown (Michele), Johnny Keown (Teresa), David Keown, Mark Keown (Wendy), Paul Keown (Melissa), Barbara Mooney (Dennis), Cindy Keown, and Lisa Hassler (Robert); his 19 grandchildren; his 12 great-grandchildren; his siblings Charles Keown and Sharon K. Rosbottom; and a host of extended family and friends. 

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, from 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Louisville Memorial Gardens West, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will resume on Wednesday morning, March 8, 2023, from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM, with a funeral service in Dexter's honor to begin at 1:00 PM. Dexter will be laid to rest in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
