Dona Carole Ferguson

Dona Carole Ferguson was born in Louisville, KY on July 11, 1957, to Donald and Carole Jarett where she spent her childhood. She moved with the family to Morehead, KY, then Columbia, SC, where she graduated from Irmo High School in 1975. Following high school, she trained as a Dental Assistant.

After periods of travel to Texas and Arizona she returned to be with family in Kentucky. The family remained in the Kentuckiana area where she worked for Kroger for 20+ years. After retirement, she moved to Mt. Washington, KY to be near her family.

Dona joins her father, Donald E. Jarett, and step-father, David H. Spaeth, step-mother, Ruth Jarett, and grandparents in heaven. Waiting for that transition to heavenly home are her two sons Donald Widemon and Jeremiah Widemon and their four children Ashton Widemon, Ryder Widemon, Colt Widemon, and Katelynn Widemon. Also waiting for the day the Lord calls them home are Dona’s mother, Carole [Putman, Jarett] Spaeth, and sisters Terri Jarett and Lisa Krystaponis.

Services are planned for Friday, September 29, 2023 at Louisville Memorial Gardens West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40216. Hours of public visitation are from 11:00 to 1:00, with funeral at 1:00.
