Donald Daugherty

DAUGHERTY, DONALD R. "DON," 77, passed away on August 6, 2013. He was a retired employee of Ford Motor Co. (LAP), a Mason, a member of Ormsby Heights Baptist Church, and an Army veteran of the Korean War. Preceding him in death was his parents, Arnold and Faye Daugherty; and his niece, Suzette Rickenbacker Cherry. Survivors include his beloved wife of 58 years, Shirley (Johnson) Daugherty; his daughter, Rachelle Lea Woods (Timothy); grandchildren, Allison Hailea Woods, Austin Grant Woods, and Stephanie Jo Dennison; his brother, Dale R. Daugherty (Angie); sister, Sharon Swift (Jim) and special friends, Mary Jo and Steve Dennison. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the building fund at his Church.
