FORTWENGLER, DONALD L. SR., 78, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012 at his residence.
He was a retired dispatcher for Jefferson County Police Department, a member of F.O.P. Metro Lodge #32, and an Air Force veteran during the Korean conflict. He also was a patrolman for the City of Northfield.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Nancy and his daughter Cathy Fortwengler.
He is survived by his sons, Donald Jr., Richard A., and Brian Fortwengler; daughters, Debra Fortwengler, Karen B. Davis (Travis) and Sondra Fortwengler; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and caregivers, Angela Hasselback and Lisa Fortwengler His funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at J.B. Ratterman and Sons 2114 W. Market St. Entombment will be at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m.- 8p.m.
