Hermes, Donald View/Sign Guest Book HERMES, DONALD, 72, of Louisville, passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2007 at his residence. He was a retired firefighter after 30 years of service with the Louisville Fire Department, a member of American Legion Post 220, and past commander of VFW Millcreek Post 5421. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Janet Hermes; sons, David Hermes (Karen) and Michael Hermes (Karen); daughter, Robin Seigle (Keith); sisters, Janice Peak and Debbie Whitley; grandchildren, Devin, Chase, Michael and Austin Hermes, Kristen Cheek and Amanda Joseph. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at J.B. Ratterman & Sons- Southwest, 4832 Cane Run Road, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 1-8 p.m. Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Louisville. Published in The Courier-Journal on 8/12/2007.
