Donald E. Ries ShareE-mail Visit Guest Book RIES, DONALD E., 85, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2009, at Meadowview Health and Rehab Center. He was a retired purchasing agent and outside sales rep. for Fontaine Truck Equipment. Mr. Ries was an Army Veteran of World War II, a member of St. Andrew United Church of Christ and the Happy Campers Camping Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Stull Ries; and a granddaughter Deanne Elizabeth Hall. Survivors include his loving daughter, Debbie Hall and her husband Randy; two grandchildren, Jennifer Leffler and husband Tommy and Jason Hall of Nashville, TN; and two great-grandsons, Jacob Deacon and Jonathan Leffler. Donald is also survived by his beloved canine companion, Lady. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2009, in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son Westport Road at Herr Lane. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Sunday and after 10 a.m. Monday. Memorial gifts may be made to Hosparus of Louisville or the Employee Activity fund at Meadowview Health and Rehab.
