He was a retired brick mason.
Family include his wife, Patricia (Murphy) Spurling; brothers, Jack D. Spurling and Dwight Spurling (Vicky); sisters, Pat Leffler (Bill) and Paula VanMeter (Tom); and several nieces and nephews.
Services: 3 p.m. Thursday in Louisville Memorial Gardens West Chapel with visitation Wednesday, 5- 8 p.m. at Neurath-Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 1832 W. Market St.
