She was born in Greenville, KY to Guy and Myrtelle (Smith) Chewning. Both preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and attended Valley View Church.
Survivors include her children, Jill Murphy (Matt), Beth McKendrick (Todd), John David French (Jayson Buchan); three grandchildren, Sean, Morgan and Jacob.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday , July 10, 2009 at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 3-9 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure Cancer Research.
