Smith, Doris Marie (Barkofsky) View/Sign Guest Book SMITH, DORIS MARIE (BARKOFSKY), 81, of Louisville, passed away Monday, August 4, 2008, at the Hillcreek Manor Nursing Home. She was a native of Eynon, PA, a U. S. Army WACS of the Korean War, a member of Shively Christian Church, friendship class at her church and Tahia Drive Neighborhood Club. Survivors include five children, Lois Ann Smith, Robert B. Smith (Barbara), Linda S. Gronefeld (Ralph), Jeffrey D. Smith (Terri) and Karen L. Kaufman (Rich); a sister, Ann "Amy" Marie Stabinski; two brothers, Joseph Barkofsky, and Edward Barkowski; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. A special thank you to the staff of Golden Living - Hillcreek Manor units 100 and 400. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be held 1-8 Friday.
