THOMPSON, DORIS E., 85, of Louisville passed away Friday, December 3, 2010 .
She was a former employee of Brown-Foreman Distillers and Hazelwood ICF-MR Most of her years she spent happily as a wife and mother.
She married in 1957 to Mr. Theo E. "Joe" Thompson, and they spent 35 wonderful years together before he passed. She leaves behind her family, daughter Susan M. Thompson, her sweet beloved granddaughter, Miranda L. Thompson, a sister Edith Chamberlain, of Lexington, KY, a brother, Robert Phillips and her best friend and niece, Gayle Mobley.
A celebration of her life will be Monday, 11 a.m. at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy., with a short service and prayers, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5-9 p.m. Sunday.
