Doris "Dotty" Meyer

Doris “Dotty” L. Meyer, 72, loving wife to Henry E. Meyer, passed away suddenly on Monday July 29, 2019.  She was born to the late John William, Sr. and Clara Frances (Adams) Lee in Louisville on November 16, 1946.  She is also preceded in death by a sister Victoria Holland, a brother, John W. Lee, Jr. and a sister-in-law, Charlotte Bailey.

Dotty retired from Kroger where she worked in the meat department and was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.  She loved to play bingo and visit the “boat”.

Besides her husband of 50 years, she is survived by her daughters, Kristie  L. Smith and Mickie L. Smith along with siblings, Marilyn Miller (Jim), Madlyn Nash (Dennis), Anna Dear, Joseph C. Lee (Sharon), Joyce Saunders (Kenny), and Clara Anderson.   She is also survived by step-children, Timothy and Paula, brothers-in-law Bert Holland and Raymond Bailey, sisters-in-law, Pam Barker (Dennis), Penny McIntyre (Henry), Chippy Berger (Barry).  Her six grandchildren will miss her, too, and they are Chris, Nathan, Katie, Frankie, Morgan, Jacob and three great-grandchildren, Darin, Nicholas, and Atticus.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 6:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 pm until time of service.
