Dorothy Allen

Dorothy Ree Allen, 89, went home to be with the Lord, on Tuesday January 23, 2018 at the Essex Summerfield Nursing Home surrounded by family.
She was born to the late Lloyd Thomas and Clora Ree (Dale) Goodman in Louisville on December 3, 1928. She is, also, preceded in death by a brother "Slick" Goodman.
Dorothy retired as an assembler from General Electric and she loved to travel.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Randy Allen (Debbie), Sandy Waters; grandchildren, Katina (Danny), Jason, Justin, Melissa, Jeffrey; great-grandchildren, Katie, Leigha, Leslie, Josh (Kim), and her sister, Louise Felker along with several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be Thursday from 3-7 at the funeral home.
