Carey, Dorothy L. CAREY, DOROTHY L., 82, a native and former resident of Louisville, and a current resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was a retired employee of The Courier-Journal in Louisville. She was a member of St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church in Louisville, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Duke Carey; parents, Raymond J. and Elizabeth Ecken Leezer; two sisters, Clara Curl and Thelma Povey; and two brothers, Raymond Leezer and Frank Leezer. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Jeanne and Bill Hodges of Baton Rouge, LA and Suzanne and Floyd Garr Jr. of Louisville; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Cherry Carey of Baton Rouge, LA; three brothers, Tom Leezer in Indiana, Bill Leezer and John Leezer, both of Louisville; five grandchildren, Kenny Hodges, Scott Hodges, both of Baton Rouge, LA and Chad Carey, Sara Garr, and Floyd Garr III, all of Louisville; and four great grandchildren, Annie, Lucy, Andrew, and Jackson. Memorial service is 11 a.m. Friday at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., Baton Rouge, LA. Visiting will be after 9 a.m. Friday.
