Dorothy M. Crick Share E-mail Visit Guest Book CRICK, DOROTHY M., 80, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 6, 2010 after a 5 year battle with multiple myeloma.
She was surrounded by her devoted family. She was the former Dorothy Smith, a retired employee of the old Nelson Boone Co. and a member of St. Peters in the Valley Episcopal Church. She was a beloved grandmother, and great-grandmother. She remained active until the end, meeting daily with her buddies for lunch and friendship, at the local McDonalds.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Clem Crick, parents Carl and Maude Smith, Ray Dierson, Bud and Bob Smith, and sister, Thelma Smith.
She is survived by her sons, Tom and Pat Crick (Patti); three grandchildren, Amanda May (Mike), Jeremy and Lindsay Crick; and three great-grandchildren, Frankie, Emilie and Michael May.
She had a special relationship with Katdy Snider, Rick Benningfield and Lyndsey Dahman.
The family wants to thank the staff at Sts.Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, with a special thanks to Dr. Subhash Sheth and Dr. Valerie Briones-Pryor.
Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peters in the Valley Episcopal Church 8110 St. Andrews Church Rd. Burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 2-9 p.m. on Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy.
