HICKS, DOROTHY RUTH (BOWIER), 91, passed away on December 24, 2012.
She was a retired employee of Melton Food Mart and a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin Hicks; her son, James Hicks; and daughter, Judith vonClef.
Survivors include her children, Donald Hicks (Dorothy), Myra Thompson (Bob), and Dennis "Wayne" Hicks (Laura); daughter-in-law, Cheryl Hicks; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with interment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2 - 8 p.m. Thursday.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to her church.
