Dorothy Needy

NEEDY, DOROTHY GILL, 78 of Louisville passed away Friday, January 8, 2010 at the Masonic Home.
Dorothy was the daughter of Garnett and Emma Walker Gill, who preceded her in death.
Dorothy recently lost her sweetheart, John Needy. They had recently celebrated 63 years of marriage. Although she occasionally worked outside the home, Dorothy was at heart a homemaker.
She was a life long member of St. Rita Catholic Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Rita Williams ( Bo) and Linda Johnson (Terry); three sons, David (Marsha), Mark (Janet) and John Needy (Hillary); 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
They will cherish her dedication to family her spirit, and zest for life and her great wit. They will miss her greatly.
The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the staff of Masonic Home and Hosparus for the professional, compassionate, and personal caring they provided for Dorothy.
Funeral services Monday January 11, 2010 at 10 A.M. at Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown 9318 Taylorsville Road, with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
