RUMBAUGH, DOROTHY J. "DOT," 92, of Louisville passed away Monday, March 5, 2012 at Baptist Hospital East.
She was the former Dorothy Jean Sheaffer, a native of New Castle, PA and a graduate of Grove City College.
She was a loving wife and beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a homemaker, having raised her three children. Dorothy and her husband were charter members of Hunting Creek Country Club, where she loved the game of golf.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Martha Kay "Marty" Rumbaugh and her two sisters, Helen Stone and Edna Mae Riley.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Paul Ernest Rumbaugh; two daughters, Linda Pollitt (Samuel) and Betty Ann Rumbaugh; three grandchildren, Leslie Kohn (Sam), Beth Tinsley (Kyle) and Sarah Minton (Jason) and six great-grandchildren, Adlai, Elliott and Charles Kohn and Skyler, Zoe and Tuck Tinsley.
Her funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, with a gathering of family and friends at 10 a.m. at Pearson-Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
