Dorothy Sandlin

Sandlin, Dorothy Aileene,78, of South Louisville entered into God's kingdom on Friday October 17, 2014 with her family by her side. She was the former Dorothy Stowers and a member of Beechmont Baptist Church. Her husband of 57 years, David L. Sandlin, Sr. and a daughter, Valerie VanLeuven preceded her in death. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mary Beth Settle (Kenny), David, Jr., George (Kim), Tommy (Angie), and Doug Sandlin (Donna); sisters, Elizabeth Easley and Mary Thomas; brothers, Pete, Paul, Doug, and Gary Stowers; 14 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A service to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held at 11 am Tuesday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with entombment to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
