SECUSKIE, DOROTHY MAE, 88, of south Louisville passed away Monday, February 21, 2011.
She was the former Dorothy Harlow and a long time member of St. James United Church of Christ. Dorothy was a proud and loyal member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 55 years. She was past Matron of Liberty Chapter #245 and current member of Southern Star Chapter #154. She was secretary of Liberty Chapter for 36 years and served as past Grand Officer and various other offices. She remained active until the very end.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Graydon; son, Stephen; parents, Carl and Lillie Harlow; and sisters, Nellie Blaufuss and Helen Estes.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan Secuskie; son, Stuart Secuskie; sister, LaVerna "Dutch" Torstrick (Harold); nieces, Pam Thompson (Charlie), Deanna Estes Culler (Everett) and Carol Wooldridge (Bobby); nephews, Keith Torstrick, Danny Blaufuss (Linda), Todd Blaufuss and Sonny Estes (Jenny).
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday at Nunnelley Funeral Home, 4327 Taylor Blvd., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Thursday. The family requests donations be made to the Eastern Star Home.
