WATHEN, DOROTHY "GIGI" (HENDRICKS), 81, passed away Tuesday March 27, 2012 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.

She was retired from Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, past president of the Auxiliary, recipient of the Hall of Fame Award and volunteered in the Hospital Gift Shop.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie J. Wathen; her parents, Randell and Charlesetta Hendricks; brothers, Chester, Charlie and Donnie Hendricks; and sisters, Joyce Tomlinson and Joann Holthouser.

She is survived by her children, sons Ronnie Wathen (Joy), Jerry Wathen (Carol) and Jay Wathen (Brenda); daughters, Linda Burke Wathen, Joyce Clark Bryant (Tom), Sherry Flood (Pete); 10 grandchildren, Brian Wathen (Christy), Kenny Burke (Miranda), Kim Kneisler (James), Heather Suzio (Bob), Shelley Dunn (Mike), Amy Blanchard (Chad), Chad Clark, Andy Wathen (Emily), Sarah Flood and Allison Flood; great-grandchildren, Cody, Kyle, and Clayton Wathen, Riley and Bryson Burke, Garrett and Kaitlyn Kneisler, Whitney Suzio, Sydney and Chase Dunn, Ezekiel Blanchard, Tyler, Ava and Eva Casteel and Naomi Mae Wathen; and sisters, Carol Dunn, Sherry Klein and Annie Baum.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at 4B and ICU #2 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital for the special care she received.

Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church 1925 Lewiston Dr., with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Thursday at the Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy.
