LAWSON, DOROTHY FARMER, 87, of Louisville, formerly of Oldham County, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at home surrounded by her family.

She was a Baptist, a former school teacher, a homemaker, a member of Oldham County Homemakers club and a former volunteer for Oldham County Senior Citizens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence "Dink" Lawson.

Survivors include her children, Mary Louise Lawson, Rosalyn Lawson, Leslie Phillips (Michael), Clarence Edward Lawson Jr. (Virginia), Annette Woods (Eddie L.) and Gwen Shaw (Rollin); 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Louisville Memorial Gardens East.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Hosparus and Shyala Mattox, a special caregiver.
