LOGSDON, DOUGLAS L., 73, of Louisville passed away at his home on Thursday, August 7, 2008. He was a retired quality control inspector for Ford Motor Company with 47 years of service. Mr. Logsdon was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Harrods Creek Masonic Lodge and a former member of Westport Road Baptist Church. His hobbies included photography and growing orchids. He was preceded in death by his parents along with two brothers, Robert O. Logsdon and David Goben. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Betty Logsdon nee Lynn; four children, Douglas L. Logsdon Jr. (Dee), Lisa Long (Charles), Gayle Garrett (Doug) and Robert Logsdon; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, William Goben (Maddie); and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Arch L. Heady & Son Westport Road. Entombment will be at Louisville Memorial Gardens East with military honors. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Sunday. Memorial gifts may be made to Hosparus of Louisville or the American Diabetes Association.
