Douglas Murphy Jr., 71, husband of Sharon R. Johnson Murphy, died Wednesday July 24 at Norton Audubon Hospital.
Born September 2, 1941 in Chestnut Flat, Ky, he is the son of the late Luther & Bertha Coyle Murphy. He had worked at Louisville Cooprage and attended Parkwood Baptist Church.
Besides his wife of 48 years he is survived by 2 daughters, Sherry McGlamery (Duane), and Kimberly Murphy, 1 son, Michael Murphy, 1 brother, Kenneth Murphy, 2 sisters, Deloris Litton and Emily Marcum. 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Ray and Ralph.
