SIMPSON, DOUGLAS HENRY SR., 76, died Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at Norton Suburban Hospital. He was a retired employee from GE. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Oglesby Simpson, who died May 26, 2009. Survived by his children, Douglas Simpson Jr., Debra Walden (Kenneth) and Valerie Jones (Kevin); a sister, Doris Sibit; brother, Gene Turner; special friend, Mr. Carlos Fish; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday, G.C. Williams. Burial: Louisville Memorial Garden East. Visitation: after 10 a.m. Monday.
