HERPS, DRU DEAN, 81, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Essex Nursing and Rehab.

She was a retired special needs teacher's aide for JCPS.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, William "Bill" C. Herps; her beloved children, William V. Herps (Kim), Norman Herps (Darlene) and Angela Herps (Neal Spitzer); grandchildren, Jonathan (Nicole), Jennifer, Heather and Lindsey; great-grandchildren, Savana and Nate; sister, Alice Gay Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Friday 10 a.m. at Joseph E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Dr. with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens-West. Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Ratterman's.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
