Dwain Nelson NELSON, DWAIN, 87, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2010.
He was a retired employee of Phillip Morris, and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Sarah (Hogan) Nelson; his daughters, Sharon Fay Rakes (Delbert), Kathy Gail Martin (Roger), and Vicky Sue Klein (Art); grandchildren, Shannon Ragland, Shelley Humpton, Christopher Rakes, B. J. Williamson, Taylor Williamson (Papaw's Best Bud), and Bryce Williamson; five great grandchildren; his brother, David Nelson; and sisters, Irene Woosley and Marjorie Cook.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 3 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorial gifts may be made to the V. A. Hospice.
