E. Gillenwaters

Gillenwaters, E.B. "Gillie" "B",
92, of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father Wednesday November 18, 2015. Gillie was born in Monroe County Ky. to the late Ben and Fannie Gillenwaters.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War ll in both the Pacific and Atlantic companies. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 45 years of service and was a proud member of UAW Local 862 for over 70 years. Gillie was known as an avid horseman at quarter horse shows where he would show and ride his quarter horses. He was a member of the Bullitt County Saddle Club and co-owner of Gillie"s lll Saloon with his sons.
He was preceded in death by the Mother of his children, Mildred Gillenwaters and his daughter, Regina Gay.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Donna Gillenwaters; sons, Kirk Gillenwaters (Linda) and Mark Gillenwaters; step daughters, Lisa Hampton (Mike) and Cathy Carrier, and grandchild, Ty and 5 step- grandchildren
A special thanks goes to the staff of Heartsong Memory Care for the loving care they gave him.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at Preston Highway Schoppenhorst, with visitation 2-8 p.m. Sunday with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
