Earl Dawson

Dawson, Earl T.,88, passed away Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Hoparus Inpatient Care Center.He was born in Meade County, KY to Clayton and Mary (Sims) Dawson.Earl was a retired foreman at Kosmosdale Cement Plant, with 38 years service, and a World War II Army veteran.He was an avid bowler at Dixie Bowl Lanes.Earl was preceded in death by his Parents, his loving wife Virginia (DeMarsh) Dawson; grandchild; four brothers and four sisters.Survivors include his children, Allene Reichert (Bob), Barbara Keabler, Mary Basham (Danny) and Tommy Dawson Jr. (Lucy); five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Clarence Dawson (June) and a sister, Hallie Brooks.Funeral services will be held noon Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Sunday, 3 - 8 p.m.
