Edith Whalen

Edith Helen Whalen, 93, passed away on Thursday March 7, 2019 at Landmark of Iroquois.  She was born to Joseph Eugene and Anna Mae (Irving) Hampton in Louisville on February 23, 1926.  She is also preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Lyman Tewsley, her second husband, Wilbur Whalen, two sons, Larry and Ronald Tewsley and six siblings.

Edith was a member of Ormsby Heights Baptist Church and was child care worker for many years.

She is survived by sons, Ricky Tewsley (Mary Anne), Mike Tewsley (Anne), eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and a brother Norman Hampton (Carol).

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway.  Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 am until time of service.
