HESSIG, EDNA SOPHIA (FOERTSCH), 98, passed away June 11, 2014.
She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and had retired from the old Stewarts Dept. Store.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Margaretha Johanna Wittman and John F. Foertsch; and husband, Ernest C. Hessig; brothers, Adolph, Oscar, Victor, and Walter Foertsch.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Y. Schneider; two grandchildren, Vicki Serrano and Brad Schneider; five great-grandchildren, Jason, Joseph, Sherry, Joslyn and Emily; four great-great-grandchildren, Jason, Matthew, Haley and Cecelia.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens (West). Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Online condolences@owenfuneralhome.com
