Owens, Edna N. (Kintner) View/Sign Guest Book OWENS, EDNA N. (KINTNER), age 94, formerly of Louisville, passed away in Colorado Springs, CO on Thursday, January 10, 2008. She was born December 11, 1913 to John W. and Maude P. Kintner. Edna was a retired legal secretary and did extensive volunteer work, was president of the Meade County Homemakers of Doe Valley, KY, president of the District of Meade County Homemakers, president of the Colorado Springs Women's Club and Women's Club of the Pikes Peak District. She worked in the United Methodist Churches of the communities where she lived and was a member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Allen Owens; brothers, Archie and James Kintner; and sister, Thelma Bironas. She is survived by her children, James Allen Owens (Barbara), Barbara Ann Morris (Robert) and Sandra Leigh Owens both of Colorado Springs; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; three sisters, Mary Lively, Francie Stoltz and Billie Mae Boone (Gerald); plus numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Wednesday.
