VARDEMAN, EFFIE MAE, 92, of Pleasure Ridge Park, was born August 19, 1920 and returned to her Heavenly Father September 16, 2012 at her home with loved ones by her side.
Mrs. Vardeman was a retired house keeper for Georgetown Manor Nursing Home where she had 21 years of faithful service and a Catholic by faith.
Among those who preceded her in death was her husband of 65 years, Frank Vardeman; parents and all of her siblings.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, Martha Jane Dooley (Mike), Barbara Carol, Florence Louise (Alvaro), Edward A. Robert Michael and James Gregory Vardeman (Shawn); 18 grandchildren; 40 great and great-great-grandchildren; a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held noon Wednesday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Friends may pay their respects from 1-8 p.m. Tuesday at Schoppenhorst.
