RITTMANN, EGON "ED," 79, husband of Ruby Simmons Rittmann, died Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at his residence.
Born in Lodz, Poland, he is the son of the late Alfons and Erma Anweiller Rittmann. Mr. Rittmann was a U.S. Army veteran and had been a machinist with Abell Elevator.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Eric.
Besides his wife of nearly 48 years, he is also survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Ann Dudgeon (Danny); brother, Dieter Rittmann (Rosie); and two grandchildren, Amy and Adam Dudgeon.
A service celebrating Ed's life will be 11 a.m. Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Hwy. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
