HAPPEL, ELSIE MAE, 90, of Louisville, passed away suddenly on April 20, 2011.
Elsie was born March 26, 1921 to Benjamin Franklin Eifler and Elmira "Carrie" Lawson Eifler in Louisville. She was a homemaker, an amazing cook, avid bowler, loved to laugh with her friends and family, and loved her dog, Benji. She was a member of Springdale Presbyterian Church and the Graymoor Women's Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Edgar; and her son, Donnie Happel (Cindy Hall) in 2009.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy Parr (Keith); six grandchildren, Bret Happel (Jessica), Christopher Happel, Kim Young (Jeff), Kelli Fleitz (Matt), Kristi Maupin (Jacob) and Anthony Happel; and four great-grandchildren, Corey, Jacob, Trent, and Elizabeth.
Elsie's celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home at 7410 Westport Road. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8 p.m. Entombment will be at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
